Sleeping in Shanghai

Dreaming… consciousness within unconsciousness.  Shanghai is a monstrous city, you are never alone.  People pushing and pulling, sweating, spitting, walking, running, grabbing, talking, yelling… the city does not seem to sleep. There is an overused phrase to describe large metropolitan areas: ‘the cities that never sleep”…but Shanghai is more than that, it is constantly breathing and beating, a mixture between raunchy and high class drama: the Paris of the East, the whore of the West.

Art happening was created in collaboration with Monika Calusinska and Anke Stockburger.
